I create poetry in English and in German. My poems and poetry songs communicate a particular playfulness with words and a strong femininity. On stage, I deliver with a somatic quality and presence. I like to throw a pinch of glitter on my interdisciplinary approach: performing independently of particular scenes, my slogan \u201cpoetry that glitters\u201d has become my trademark since 2012.<\/p>\n<p>This becomes apparent in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YsQDKfZjIQE&#038;list=PL_yeTjAupemegpVVhqIAauGkMEykSfHMe\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">laudatory speech<\/a> for GEDOK Literary Advancement Award 2020 which I received. As a thank you, I improvised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kdloBerTe90&#038;list=PL_yeTjAupemegpVVhqIAauGkMEykSfHMe&#038;index=2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">a medley<\/a> from home, since the event &#8211; orignially planned in Hamburg, Germany &#8211; was cancelled during the pandemic in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>In writing, performing, and my whole life it is my duty to create something beautiful and to protect the emotional element.<br \/>\nI became a mother in 2020, and especially as I am a single mom, this mission is being realized within my own family.<br \/>\nIn continuation and ripening of my artist work, I am available as a workshop teacher and coach in 2024 and after.<br \/>\nAdditionaly, my creative time is focused on a bigger writing project. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/MusikFranziskaRuprecht-e1530548073375.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/MusikFranziskaRuprecht-e1530548073375.jpg\" alt=\"\u00a9 Franziska Ruprecht 2018 live in Prag pic by Ken Nash \" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3624\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"\/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Franziska Ruprecht, Performance in Prague, May 2018, picture by Ken Nash<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Published works in brief: my <a href=\"\/books\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">book<\/a> of poems in English, &#8220;BODY TAG&#8221; (self-published in 2018), my German collection of poems \u201cMeer-Maid\u201d, which was published by Wolfbach Verlag in 2015 &#038; 2016, and <a href=\"\/musik\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">poetry songs<\/a> that I put out online for you to enjoy! <\/p>\n<p>My academic background started to form in Munich, where I studied American Literature. Through two stipends, I continued to study in Detroit. I put the emphasis of my work on Creative Writing, and earned my Master of Arts at Wayne State University. In the Motor City is where I found myself as an artist, where I could really express myself in performances and within the American poetry slam scene. After I had returned to Germany, I lived and breathed the poetry slam spirit of the earlier 2000s; from Warszaw to Saarbr\u00fccken, from Copenhagen to Switzerland, I was invited to take part in slams every week-end.<br \/>\nIn the D, I had also picked up the musicality and elements of rap. So it makes sense that in 2020, the anthology \u201cRESPECT \u2013 THE POETRY OF DETROIT MUSIC\u201d appeared with my poem closing the book. Eminem is among the famous contributors to this collection of great song lyrics and poetry. My passion for poetry has come full circle, but it is still moving.\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Writing is my passion.
